All of us would have surely faced difficult situations in life such as loss of job, loss of family member, ill-health, financial problems etc. But not all would have faced them looking at the positive side of it because one usually gets trapped by negative thoughts when one comes across difficult times.

However, negative thoughts do not allow good solutions to our problems, they rather deteriorate the situation. For example, say we had conflict with someone and we developed negativity against that person. Because of negativity, our relationship with that person gets spoilt. Our external behavior may be courteous, which is good; but our negative thoughts would send out negative vibrations and affect the other person, even when he is not directly aware of it. This in turn makes us miserable too and we do not feel peace inside.

And instead if we adopt positive thinking, the results would be very good; which would not only make us happy but others too.
Let us enumerate the amazing results we get, when we imbibe positivity in our life.
1.Being positive broadens our vision to look at things differently. It helps us develop in all aspects of life.
2.The positive energy flowing within helps us build better skills and makes us more creative. When we get stuck in some situation, and we give up saying, “I will not be able come out of it”, our thought process stops and as a result, we are not able to come up with creative solutions to come out of the problem. But if we maintain positivity, then no matter what, we will be able to solve it. Positivity helps us solve problems whereas negativity only creates more entanglements.
3.Param Pujya Dadashri says, “Adopt one principle in life; always remain positive, never support negative. Whenever any negativity arises, remain silent.” Positive words have immense strength; they give a big boost and make everyone feel happy and energetic. Whereas negative words break the confidence and depress everyone.
4.Positive emotions are stress buster. Irrespective of the amount of workload and irrespective of the type of task, positive thinking keeps us happy and motivated.
5.With positive thinking, we are constantly transforming ourselves into better human beings, filling our lives and the lives of those around us with happiness and peace.
6.When we have positive thinking, we never get depressed. Say if we failed in a particular task, we don’t get upset nor do we get drowned in negativity. Failures are not the end of the world?! We instead see this as an opportunity to learn from our mistakes and grow to the next level in life.
7.Negative intellect doesn’t allow one to see positive in others. Whenever our intellect shows any negative in others, we should not take the side of our intellect. Rather, we should pull it to our side and make it find positives in that person. When we see positive qualities in others and appreciate them, those qualities begin to manifest in us too.
8.Pujya Dadashri says, “The rule of circumstances is that one weak circumstance will pull together many other weak circumstances and one strong circumstance will pull together many other strong circumstances”. Based on this rule, positive thinking brings forth positive evidences which help the work proceed smoothly, whereas negative thinking often spoils the task.
9.Negative intellect doesn’t allow one to see positive in others. Whenever our intellect shows any negative in others, we should not take the side of our intellect. Rather, we should pull it to our side and make it find positives in that person. When we see positive qualities in others and appreciate them, those qualities begin to manifest in us too.
10.By nature, what we give to others, we get it back. Then, why think negative for others and invite negative in our life? Rather give positive and in return enjoy much more positive.
11.We usually feel embarrassed or get frustrated when someone keeps imposing their way of doing things onto us. Now what if we take it positive that ‘how nice! We are learning new ways of doing things’. And say if something goes wrong, then we are not liable for it for we just followed what we were asked to do. Will there be any conflict with anyone then? Similarly, say we are served food with less salt, rather getting mad at the host, what if we tell ourselves, and ‘good! Eating less salt is good for health.’ With positive thinking, we do not see other people’s faults, nor do we hold others responsible for anything adverse that happens in our life; we take healthy adjustments instead. Consequently, we will not have any grudges inside nor conflicts outside; we will be able to win people’s heart and at the same time we also settle our karmas with equanimity.
12.At the time of illness, positive thinking helps us remain calm and happy, which brings about a faster healing and speedy recovery. Once Param Pujya Dadashri had a fracture in his leg. When people would come asking for his health, he would say ‘the fracture has already happened, now, it is the recovery that is happening!’ Such positive thinking avoids us being fretful and makes other people happy too.
13.Per spiritual science, the topmost positive vision i.e. ‘to see the Pure Soul within everyone’; and the real knowledge i.e. ‘no one is the independent doer in this world, everything just happens naturally, as per the laws of Nature’, helps us see the world as faultless!!
Such are the beautiful results of positive thinking. So come, let’s adopt positivity and be happy in life!!
