Rollin McCraty, Ph.D.,
Institute of HeartMath Executive Vice President and Director of Research
Greetings, I have been with the Institute of HeartMath since its inception in 1991. Working with founder Doc Childre, I helped to formulate the organization's research goals and create its Scientific Advisory Board. I am a Fellow of the American Institute of Stress, hold memberships with the International Neurocardiology Network, American Autonomic Society, Pavlovian Society and Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback and I am an adjunct professor at Claremont Graduate University.
Along with my research team, I regularly participate in collaborative studies with other U.S. and international scientific, medical and educational institutions. We have worked in partnership with research groups at Stanford University, Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Southampton General Hospital in England and the Miami Heart Research Institute, among others. I have numerous research studies that have been published in journals that include the American Journal of Cardiology, Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Stress Medicine, Biological Psychology and Integrative Physiological and Behavioral Science.
