Bob Linde, Acupuncture Physician and Registered Herbalist (AHG), is the president and founder of Acupuncture & Herbal Therapies. Bob's interest in complementary medicine began at the age of 10 at a summer camp in Maine where he had the opportunity to study edible plants in the wild. Throughout his youth, Bob studied various therapeutic properties of vitamins, minerals and western herbs. In high school and college he was nicknamed "Dr. Bob" by his classmates because he successfully addressed a wide variety of health concerns for himself, family, and friends using his herbal and nutritional knowledge.
Bob spent five years in the U.S. Army where he became a combat life saver and earned a combat infantry badge in Iraq. He also was an instructor for the Red Cross in CPR, first aid and advanced life saving, as well as other classes. He has lectured at USF, Eckerd College, Department of Health and taught for East West College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Bob's strong desire to raise the standards of herbal training has led to his creation of the Professional Herbalists training Program starting at the clinic in the fall of 2004, where he teaches and supervises students participating in the herbal intern clinic. He also provides CEU training for various healthcare professions. Please see our class schedule for more information on CEU courses.
