Gaye Nelson“The Professional Fairy Godmother”

Gaye Nelson has been an expert in astrology, tarot and Emotional Release Work for many years. She began studying metaphysics at the age of 17 and has been a full-time professional astrologer since 1988. She has thousands of clients, including celebrities and intriguing people in many professions.

Gaye has had a fascinating life, growing up in Hollywood. Her mother, Anne Nelson, has had a legendary executive career at CBS since 1945 and is currently Vice President of Business Affairs.

Gaye’s father, Harmon Oscar Nelson, Jr., died in 1975. He was a brilliant musician, bandleader and advertising executive. His first wife was his prep school sweetheart, actress Bette Davis. Hollywood legend has it that Bette gave the Academy Award its famous nickname “Oscar” in honor of her husband’s derriere, which bore a striking resemblance to the “golden statuette”. Gaye is a fourth-generation Californian. She was an Honors Student at Westchester High School and graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Theater Arts from UCLA. She did a year of Postgraduate work in Psychology at CSUN. She is a Double Gemini and has had many different careers. She started working in show business at age three as the Campbell’s Soup girl, followed by more than 30 years of appearances on stage, film, television and radio, as model, actress and singer. As a cover girl for Seventeen, she was the subject of a four-page feature article about how she successfully combined her show business career with her spirituality. She was also a Casting Director. She was the Community Health Educator for Planned Parenthood, doing public speaking on sexuality issues with both teens and adults. She also assisted medical staff at the clinic and taught Natural Family Planning. She was a Bradley Method Childbirth Educator for 15 years (starting four years before she had a home birth with her daughter in 1985). She was one of the creators of A Sound Beginning, a unique prenatal parenting program. Gaye launched her radio program “Corners of the Heart” in 1990, shortly thereafter moving it to cable television in Los Angeles, where it is still going strong. She discusses inspirational topics extemporaneously.

Currently, Gaye’s clients receive the guidance she offers through her in-depth astrology and tarot readings, tapes on the current “spiritual weather”, called “Astrology To Go”, a hands-on healing technique called Emotional Release Work, and Astrocartography, which helps people find the best places to live, work and play. She does house blessings and officiates at weddings.

She is a Vice-President of the AFI Associates, the fundraising group for the American Film Institute. Gaye Nelson has spent a lifetime creating magic.
