My name is Chrys Page and I'm 71 years old. I am a jazz singer, a musical theater teacher, a recording engineer, and a vocal coach to more than 500 singers online, and locally in my town.
Many of my singers once dreamed of earning their livelihood through singing, but circumstances prevented their dreams from materilaizing, and now in their 50's-70's, they feel it's too late for them to realize any of their youthful goals of singing.
My website exists for these women and men, for I AM THE PROOF that dreams don't have to die with age. One need NOT consider him or herself a failure if he/she is NOT performing in Carnegie Hall or at Radio City Music Hall.
In fact, I am still performing regularly in my city, in jazz clubs and country clubs, in churches and community centers, in nursing homes and on theater stages.
And I continue to encourage and motivate singers of all ages everywhere.
Born and raised in New York City, I guess one could say I have "Hootspa". That's Yiddish for guts, I think, but somehow I simply have insisted on remaining engaged in the activities of my soul, and for me that's music, theater arts, and writing.
I invite you to visit my websites and become inspired to follow your dreams, whatever they are, and at whatever age YOU are.

"He who lets his breath, hence his life force, flow consentingly as a willing sound sacrifice from the depths of his body, sings his life; for singing means to affirm life, to free oneself, and thereby to bring happiness and prosperity to oneself, and consequently to one's fellow man." Marius Schneider

“No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others.”
Martha Graham

"The Fountain of Youth is dull as paint
Methuselah is my patron saint
I've never been so comfortable before
Oh, I'm so glad that I'm not young anymore"
Sung by Maurice Chevalier in "Gigi".

"If You can breath, you can talk...if you can talk, you can sing"
Elaine Stritch
I've been singing for a living since 1961, and while I still perform at a variety of venues throughout the year, I have spent most of the last 40 years teaching, coaching, and otherwise mentoring others on how to fulfill their dreams of being a singer. My students range in age from 15 - 70. The young students learn discipline and good habits for keeping their voices strong and powerful forever, and the older ones are rediscovering their dreams of youth by learning techniques that have revitalized their voices and their confidence! I am absolutely sure that I can teach anyone, yes anyone how to sing and even more than that, become the singer they have always dreamed of being!
