One of the important sub-branches of Astrology is Vedic Gemology which ideally suggests that the Ruby ( Manak ) should be worn on the Right-hand Ring finger. Further, it is said that it should most ideally be set in Gold. These are all well-established norms for thousands of years.

Ideally, the Ruby ring should be worn on an auspicious Sunday and within that, you should ideally pick up a Sun ( Surya ) Hora with a good resultant. You cannot pick up just any Sunday as not all Sundays are auspicious and again not all Sun Hora’s are auspicious. This factor being a little technical in nature you should ideally consult an erudite and experienced Astrologer who will work the perfect Sunday and time for you. In addition, you should also follow a small and easy but very effective ritualistic procedure that involves Beej ( Seed ) Mantra of Lord Sun chanting and other related aspects.

This aids in invoking the dormant powers which lie within the Gemstone. You then develop a personal connection with the Gemstone and its immense powers. If you are lucky enough to get a good Ruby that is not artificially treated, like it has not been glass filled or thermally enhanced, etc then consider yourself blessed.

Always bear in mind that you should not carry your Gemstone to any place where there is a dead body or to the crematorium, etc. In case you happen to do so then you could very well damage the pious and inherent powers of the Ruby.

Further, it is also suggested that you removed the Ruby ring at night and place it on special “Chargers” which are most “Siddha Yantrams” which are duly consecrated so that you are able to keep the Ruby at the best of its energy levels.

Ideally, a competent Best Astrologer in Hyderabad would guide you into these finer details.
