The secret to making money, and keeping it handy is to stop chasing happiness. When you chase happiness you stop being happy, and you start to believe that happiness happens after something in the outside world happens. Thankfully, I found a solution.
Neville Goddard has been one of the most influential people in my life. Studying his works gave me the tools I needed to make good money and to be happy – no matter what.
If you think about it, chasing happiness is all a mind game. You imagine you will be happy once something changes on the outside, when specific conditions are met in your world. Now, if you have taken a moment to do this tiny little exercise, and if you've done this effectively, your body changed, your saliva glands did their job, and maybe you even had a shiver or two – all while biting your imaginary lemon.
This happens because your body, responds to your imagination, and you can notice this because you are what animates both your body and your imagination. You are the spark behind the eyes. Get this, and you can't help but become more prosperous, make more money, and stop chasing happiness.
Consider this. You aren't your physical body. Your physical body is just the part of the universe that you most closely associate with. Your physical body is the primary part of the universe that responds to your imagining. And the more you notice how your physical body responds to what you imagine, the more able you become to notice that the rest of the universe also responds to what you imagine.
But before we go down that rabbit hole, by exploring the three main techniques of Neville Goddard, which we will in other articles, lets explore something simple yet profound.
It's not what is going on in your world that determines your level of success and happiness – your level of prosperity. It is what is going on in your consciousness that determines your levels of success, happiness and your level of prosperity. It's just like biting a lemon and noticing that your protoplasm responds. If you imagine that your husband, wife, kids or clients are going to give you a hard time, odds are they will.
They will because your behavior, which is based in your body, will become defensive, and that will invite them to give you a hard time. And even if they don't, as long as you imagine that they are, you will respond as if they are giving you a hard time. Do this often enough, and you won't have the energy and the inspiration to enjoy life, be creative, or be the kind of person you truly wish to be in this world.
Remember: Habit's determine destiny. And you want to develop the habit of using your imagination in a way that makes you feel good, keeps you creative, and allows you to fully use and appreciate every blessing you have in the world.
Neville Goddard gives you three primary methods to use your imagination, to increase your happiness, and to change the conditions in your world. Three methods that will wildly and wonderfully give you more and more prosperity every single day that you use them.

Just remember a time when you were happy, strong, confident, and when you knew no matter what you did or what happened in the world, you knew you would be on top. Remember what you saw, remember what you heard, and remember exactly how your body felt.
Breathe now, like you did back then. Notice how good it feels. And notice how much more alive you are, compared to just a few moments ago. And imagine what your life would be like, if you lived from this state everyday, all day. Imagine how much better your decisions would be. Imagine how much better your relationships would be. And imagine how your friends would see and experience this new ideal you.
And realize, you have just proven to yourself that YOU can at anytime, use your imagination, to run your biology, your body. And if you can do that, you can use your imagination to change your world, and experience greater and greater levels of prosperity.
