A Background on Eric Worre:
I met Mr. Worre about five years ago, in what later turned out to be my first positive MLM experience. I got involved in a company called Agel Enterprises, for which he was one of the 'Big Three' team leaders.
I was always fascinated by Eric, because he has a really unique personality. On the stage as a speaker, he tends to control the conversation and direction of training - even though he is the leader who tends to speak the least. He plays the part of a celebrity interviewer, asking questions to clarify points that allow the finer points of Network Marketing success to come through in a way that otherwise would remain in darkness.
Eric is a great example, and it would be a good idea to learn from him as much as possible.
So how does Eric Worre build his business?
Eric follows a traditional, word of mouth business model, and he reduces his training down to the simplest possible steps for his team. In fact, it is a difficult task to get Eric to talk about anything more complicated than the concept of 'Third Party', Weekly Meetings, and Home Meetings.
He will not do it. In fact, I don't know if he would remember this, but I heard him talking one day about how he keeps things ridiculously simple, and so I was around him later that day at a training convention, and I questioned him, attempting my best to get him to be complicated. It made me laugh, really, that it was so difficult for me to get Eric to make things...difficult.
One of the most valuable things I learned from Eric was to keep MLM a simple business. Before I met him, I came from a long list of uplines and teams that seemed to try and build a business in the most complicated way they possibly could. (Which made me one frustrated networker)…
So Do Eric Worre's Techniques Work For Everyone?
If you ask Eric and he's being honest, he will admit to you that they don't. If you take a look at the facts over the last 60 years of MLM, it's clear to most leaders that all training doesn't work for everybody. Simply put - there are thousands of various ways to build a MLM business that are effective for different kinds of personalities.
I actually first started making real money when I was involved with Eric - and it was from following and promoting his system.
If I'm honest, though, it was hard for most people to learn and use Eric's system. All of us were broke, frustrated, and in our mid 20's (I was the least broke among them), that simply wasn't a good system for us to use. Quite simply, if I ever wanted to get my income over $5,000 a month in Eric's group, I would have had to join the Chamber Of Commerce, go to Church 3X a week, maybe join The Rotary Club, and any other social group I could get involved with where I could meet people who had a larger sphere of influence than my own.
Also, I discovered after a time that I simply don't enjoy spending all of my free time at meetings, on conference calls, and prospecting strangers. Now I do love speaking, but there was just too much pressure to do weekly events, even when it was less effective than other approaches. I simply desired a more effective personal solution to build my business.
That being said, am I saying Eric Worre's techniques don't work? Quite to the contrary - it was THE FIRST thing that worked for me in MLM, after a few years of hard struggle in other companies. However, I'm not one to be satisfied with $5,000 a month, and I started looking for a simpler, more effective way to expand my sphere of influence…
…and I found the internet. It took some training, but I finally figured out how to market myself online, and I learned that not only was it more effective than trying to meet people locally, it was simply easier to do once I got the hang of it.
It was an empowering transformation (as you can imagine) when I started having people call me up, begging me to get involved in my business.
Simply put, does Eric Worre's training work? Yes - But you know what? I would never, ever build a business in that way again. In fact, I wouldn't even care if I would make five times as much money. I found that it is so much more profoundly attractive, fun, and desireable to learn how to have people calling YOU asking to get in your business..
I would not do things any other way.
However, I've experienced the exact opposite. In six months of online marketing, my income grew by five times.Today I consistently bring in 20-50 reps per month into my opportunity, and they are all REQUESTING to join.
