For religious, moral, and personal reasons many individuals seek to take personal responsibility for their own health. They seek to become aware of the various healthcare options available in this country and in various other parts of the world. To this end, Certified Natural Health Professionals, Inc. (CNHP) seeks to be an educational network-providing a forum for traditional and alternative philosophies used for the promotion of good health. CNHP does not involve itself in the practice of any craft which is restricted by licensure or is, otherwise, contrary to law.
CNHP was created to provide information, instruction, and certification in the field of natural health practices. By attending a series of five seminars, you will learn the techniques necessary to promote balanced living and the prevention of disease. Completion of all five seminars provides the individual with the distinction of becoming a Certified Natural Health Professional.
Many individuals are interest in the learning of modalities which do not involve orthodox drugs or surgical procedures. This information is not easily accessible through traditional, information channels. A Certified Natural Health Professional should be a reservoir of information, while respecting the individual's right of free choice of lifestyle and yet advocating the least invasive method of health maintenance.
It is not the purpose of CNHP to develop licensure or any exclusiveness for those who are certified members of this organization. We believe there are many good practitioners who have the right to practice their craft free from restrictions imposed by programs of licensure, as long as they practice the ethics of the "Golden Rule" and conduct their business accordingly. For example, there are many good bookkeepers and their right to practice their profession has not been infringed upon by those who have chosen to become Certified Public Accountants. Accordingly, Certified Natural Health Professionals have no desire to restrict or withhold rights of free enterprise on the part of any individual or group
In addition to the education instruction it provides, CNHP works tirelessly to supply information and promote legislation designed to protect natural health practitioners and the rights of the general public to choose their preferred method of healthcare.
The National Association of Certified Natural Health Professionals, Inc. (a not-for-profit corporation) was founded in 1988 for the purpose of training and certifying individuals who sought to counsel others in natural health techniques. Initially, many attended the seminars just for personal information concerning how they could improve their own health and those of their family members. http://www.cnhp.org/
