Now that we have your attention . . .
We completed our annual physical examinations today. Long ago we established the tradition of scheduling our respective annual physicals on the same day. Why, you ask? It’s simple really – we love each other from the bottom of our respective hearts and want to be around each other for as much as we can for as long as we can.
Think about it – beyond your own health whose health do you concern yourself with the most? We bet it is the one you love the most. In the loving relationships we have observed over the years, including our own, we note how much happier people are in their lives when they are personally healthy and when the one they love the most is healthy as well.
Frankly, and in our humble opinion, we have a mutual responsibility to each other to do our best to maintain our health. We eat well, take our vitamins, are religious about taking our medications every day, and riding our bikes on the many trails in St. Louis has become nearly addictive. We encourage each other to do all of these things and then top off our year by having our annual physicals. It is always better to catch a health problem in the very early stages so a physical exam is a must. Oh, and the good news is – we passed our physicals with flying colors!
Doing our best to stay healthy for ourselves and for the ones we love is the best way we can think of to say, “I love you.” And being healthy makes that “physical love” all the more fun and exciting!
Here’s to your health!
