1.Focus
Maintaining focus is a vital step to success and important in achieving any goal. Many people never have a clear vision of what they want to achieve, so they never make fundamental decisions like where they want to live or where they want to work. This is why it is important to write down your goals.
Everyone needs a dream. To accomplish your dream, you need to develop a plan to achieve your goals. Don't get overwhelmed in this process. Instead, fake it until you make it. Simply put, study people who have accomplished goals that are similar to the goals you have set and then imitate them. Use these successful individuals as a model for your success.
Focus on the end product rather than allowing yourself to become overwhelmed with the sacrifices you have to make. For example, if you are trying to lose weight, don't allow the negative thoughts surrounding how long it will take you to reach your goal to cause you frustration. For example, don’t get too stressed over any unhealthy choices you made during lunch, because you can rebound. Instead of creating negative energy, focus on how good you will look at your goal weight.
If you are required to pass several tests to get the certifications you need for a promotion at work, don't focus on the hours of preparation you must spend studying. Instead, keep a mental image of how good you will feel in your new position.
Every morning, look in the mirror and Believe in the FACE you see. Know that YOU can accomplish your goals.
2. Attitude
It takes a positive attitude to accomplish any goal. A negative attitude is detrimental in achieving success because it will cause you to create too much negative energy. Negative energy can increase your stress level, and with stress you will not be as productive. A positive attitude allows you to remain focused, and can lead to other opportunities.
3. Commitment
Your commitment determines if you will succeed or fail. No matter who you are, you will experience bumps on the road to accomplishing your goals because success is not always a smooth road to travel. Accept the bumps as speed breakers; understand that they might slow you down but also give you an opportunity to improve. Do not allow bumps in the road to stop you from reaching your goals.
Realize that there will always be challenges, but our challenges make us stronger. Learn to accept the challenges as speed breakers and do not allow them to become goal stoppers.
4. Enthusiasm
Enthusiasm generates positive energy and can lead to success. Concentrate on being enthusiastic about everything you do. Allow your enthusiasm about the things you care about to keep you motivated. With positive energy, you will remain motivated to continue to work hard to accomplish you goals.
Embrace your F-A-C-E time with yourself to keep you motivated. Use positive affirmations if needed. The more motivated you remain, the more success you will experience.
