Lord Buddha said in his Four Noble Truths that all suffering comes from our attachments.
So if you want to be happy every day for the rest of your life, you need to let go of any and all attachments. You need to replace your attachments with preferences.
The difference between a preference and an attachment is that with a preference you are still happy even if what you want does not come about. However, in the case of an attachment, if you don’t get what you want, you will lose your happiness. So your happiness will be dependent on something outside of self instead of coming from an inner attitude of being at one with yourself.

Dr Joshua David Stone was one of the most influential Spiritual teachers, leaders and forerunners of our time. He had a Ph.D. in Transpersonal Psychology and was a licensed Marriage, Family and Child Counselor in California, USA.

Gloria Excelsias is the President of the I AM University, an educational institution with focus on Spiritual and psychological development that was founded by the late Dr Joshua David Stone in 2004 and handed over to her care and leadership in 2005, at Dr Stone’s passing.
