The Law of Attraction is a Universal Law and it says that what you FOCUS on, you are attracting into your life. It has always existed everywhere; it always will and it works for everyone, all of the time. Put simply, that means what we think and feel strongly about is coming towards us. You get what you focus on. If you FOCUS on what you want and IMAGINE yourself having it, then it is coming to you. If you focus on what you want, but on the LACK of it, then you get more of that and so on. If you FOCUS on your life as it is now (as most of us do), then you get more of the same (the good and the bad of it!). Very often, we are convinced that we are focusing on what we want in our lives, when we are actually focusing on the lack of what we truly desire. For instance, people may talk a lot about money (to use an obvious example) and what they would buy with it, IF ONLY they had it, but essentially they are coming from a perspective of lack, that is, not having enough money!
When you focus on a subject for just a few seconds, The Law of Attraction brings matching, or similar thoughts to you. After a minute or so, a clump of thoughts actually has some manifesting power. You will experience this as seeing something again and again, meeting others having a similar conversation, seeing something similar on TV, having an expansion of ideas and very importantly, getting inspiration, to take some specific action (like a hunch), or a bit of information just falling into your lap. It is this action from inspiration that is the key to having The Law of Attraction work for you, rather than against you.
There is now a huge global interest in this Universal Law, especially since the release of the best selling film and book called "The Secret", which is a film about The Law of Attraction and how we create our reality. Right now, The Law of Attraction is getting a huge amount of positive media attention, assisted by the very public support and endorsement of celebrities like Oprah Winfrey.
People everywhere want to have, do, or be things that seem to be just out of their reach and learning about The Law of Attraction allows us to dare to dream AND have a way of making those dreams become our reality.
There is increasing interest and research from the scientific world. For example, films like "What The Bleep do we Know?!" looks at quantum physics and how we create our reality with our thoughts. This is a documentary, partly presented by leading quantum physicists, all of whom would appear to completely endorse The Law of Attraction.
Research scientist Bruce Lipton, has written "The Biology of Belief", showing that genes and DNA do not control our biology; that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our positive and negative thoughts.
Lynne McTaggart, working with leading physicists and psychologists, founded The Intention Experiment, a series of scientifically controlled, web-based experiments testing the power of intention to change the physical world, with very interesting results.
To put it very simply, in order to get The Law of Attraction working for you, rather than against you (i.e. attracting the unwanted), you need to train yourself to put your attention on what you WANT to experience, that is, the thoughts, things and actions that feel good to you. The Law of Attraction will expand this to bring you more of the same. When you are mostly focused on the things that you want and that feel good, whether remembering happy times, appreciating what you have now, or dreaming up good stuff for your future, The Universe will bring you more good feeling experiences to match. It has to, as it is THE LAW. It takes practice to create a whole new way of looking at life, it takes developing new habits and beliefs, it takes some time, but it is so worth it!
