Seven Terrible Pickup Lines and Why they Suck

Being the master of pick up lines can only get you half-way through the battle of trying to pick up girls and talk to women, and the hardest thing about the pickup line is that it will create an immediate opportunity for her to judge you. First impressions last - and this has never been more true than in the world of dating and trying to approach women.
Any online dating tips for men that you will find will suggest you to get bold with pickup lines, because they are not only difficult but risky. But you need to be spontaneous and quite proactive about coming up with something original or you will just end up with egg on your face.. sometimes literally.
One of the areas where men falter is their sense of humor, and they assume that women are going to like that too. Men have a sense of humor more related to bathroom jokes or obscene stuff and that turns off a lot of women. There are some top examples where men really do shoot themselves in the foot – figuratively speaking of course, and in most cases ruin any chances of picking up the girl before they really even got a chance to approach her!

Here are 7 examples of bad pick up lines and why they simply will never work:

1. “What’s your sign?”

A typical line from movies as old as from 1970’s, and if dared to mention that in a crowd then expect all the women in the vicinity to avoid you. You might be lucky to get attention from a cougar.

2. “I saw another girl with the same _______. [any accessory]”

If she is emotional then she will burst in to tears because you pointed out something most women dislike - having the same outfit on. This shows you have no idea about women and probably no idea in the bedroom either.

A play on this clothing accessory idea is the equally distasteful and ineffective pick up line:
"Nice (insert accessory)... Wanna F%*@?"

3. “You be the tree, and I’ll wrap you like a Koala.”

You thought mentioning Koala would make you cute. The pickup line is plain, boring and Koala’s are extremely lazy and timid for a man to be match up. It is better to stay away from Animal Planet because there is hardly an animal that would match up nicely to a lady or you in a good way.

4. “Excuse me; do you have your phone number? I seem to have lost mine.”

Some pickup lines are used over and over again that you can only surprise these to a farmer’s daughter. This is one of the oldest and quite obviously shows that you are desperate, which is a turn off for ladies.

5. “I may not be Fred Flintstone, but I bet I can make your Bed Rock.”

Leave the fact that you are referring to something that is old as your childhood, but you are making a direct implication to reach for her bed. No girl wants to get in bed with a stranger straight off, especially someone as least impressive as your ideal, Fred.

6. “Is your name Puzzle? ‘Cause my buddy here thinks you’re the missing piece he’s been looking for!”

Not only your buddy is afraid to confront her, but also liked to change her name to a fairy tale character. Expect a bad response with another fairy tale character.

7. “I just got out of jail for selling drugs... Do you want to go out?”

Really? If it’s true then keep it to yourself! If you made it up to impress her… Nice try moron.
Some women show that they like bad boys, but those who actually committed felony and got caught too are hardly any good.

Whether the pick up line you choose to use is a terrible one or the best pickup line ever - it really comes down to the way you deliver the line and the body language you display. Be confident and charming of course but above all if you want to successfully approach women and talk to girls then you need to be yourself
