In 2021 JEE Mains will be conducted in four sessions a year in February, March, April & May, i.e. student can appear in JEE Main for 4 times in single year 2021. JEE Mains is a Joint Entrance Exam conducted by National Testing Agency for candidates who need to take admission to UG engineering programs in various IITs, NITs, & other renowned institutions. What’s New & Important?
This year, JEE MAIN – 2021will be conducted in 4 sessions.
Student, if he/she wishes, can attempt JEE Main exam for 1, 2, 3 or 4 times in each exam being conducted on months of February, March, April and May, respectively.
Top score of any one of the attempts will be considered for merit list/rank preparation.
JEE Main -2021 Exam pattern is updated. The Paper-1 for B.Tech. admissions will comprise of 3 parts, Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, and each part will have 2 sections. Section 1 will be having 20 MCQs all compulsory having +4 marks for correct response and -1 for wrong response. Whereas main change is in section-2 where earlier there were only 5 Numerical answer type questions but now there will 10 numerical answer type questions among which only 5 questions need to be solved by students. Students cannot attempt more than 5 questions in section 2, however he/she can change responses before submitting test.
So, Total questions would be 90 and total marks 300 and total time of 3 Hrs.

Students can register themselves for JEE Main through the NTA website.
Please use your valid mail id and phone number for registration
Candidates can apply for one or more sessions together and pay the application fee accordingly.
Please select language carefully, it will not be changed at a later stage.
After completion of the application process, students are advised to print the application form and fee payment proof for any further use in the future.
Application process goes through various steps starting from Registration, next Filling up of Application form, Image uploading, Application Fee payment, to Printing of Application form.
Students can get an SMS/ mail on their registered mobile number or mail id regarding successful submission of the form after completing the application process.
Application correction window will be re-opened briefly immediately after the declaration of the result.
Candidates can fill application form till 16th January 2021 for the February session exam.
JEE Main Application Fee payment can be paid through online mode. Students will be able to pay the fee through net banking/debit or credit card, PAYTM, or UPI mode. No offline mode are going to be allowed to pay the appliance fee.
Indian nationals also as international applicants are eligible to use.
No age limit was given to apply for JEE Main 2021.
No attempt limit
For JEE Advanced, JAB has decided to give one more chance to students who could not take JEE Advanced 2020 due to Covid-19. Such students can be allowed to directly appear within the JEE Advanced 2021 exam.
12th level passed or it’s equivalent in 2019, 2020 from a recognized board or university.
Students who are appearing for his or her 12th level within the 2021 session also are eligible to use.
For B.E/B.Tech, applicants in 12th level should have passed with at least of five subjects – Physics & Mathematics subjects as compulsory along with Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or any other technical vocational as optional subjects.
If B. Arch, students are appearing for this exam they must pass the intermediate level with Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
The candidate should have passed 12th level with Mathematics as a compulsory subject, for B. Plan
Diploma: Those students who are holding diplomas are also eligible to apply. But they are solely eligible for admissions in IITs only.
3 hours are going to be provided to finish the paper
Objective type questions are going to be asked in present. Also, as per the newest changes within the pattern of JEE Main, there’ll be questions during which answers are to be made in numerical values.
The total number of questions in JEE Main Paper 1(B.Tech.) – 90 questions; JEE Main Paper -2 – 82 questions; JEE Main Paper -3 – 105 questions.
JEE Main Paper – 1 will be of total 300 marks. While JEE Main Paper -2 & 3 will be of total 400 marks.
For every correct answer, 4 marks are going to be given. There will be negative marking 1 mark will get deducted for wrong answers.

Each Subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), all compulsory and Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. *In Section B, candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10. There will be no negative marking for Section B. Candidate can not attempt more than 5 questions in this section. However, he/she can change responses or questions.
JEE Main Paper – 2A
(B. Arch): Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II) in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in Pen & Paper Based (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.

Get aware of the question trends being followed in the past exams.
Make your Notes. Prepare revision plan and study accordingly. Solve previous year paper’s questions.
Practice. Practice. Practice. Solve all important questions as much as possible.
