Jacob Schick, a Canadian Army Colonel, filed the first patent for electric shavers in 1930. The first one wasn’t the best

Jacob passed away in 1937 when his company was booming, and his invention would live on. Other companies continued to carry this famous invention to new heights. Rotary blades
In 1939, The Philips Company introduced rotary blades. Within a few years, the marketplace had become a head-to-head battle, forcing consumers to choose between with circular blades (Philips) and those with front-back blades. The selling point of the shavers with rotary blades was that the device was slightly smaller. That means it could get to some parts of the face that other shavers couldn’t.
Cutting the cord
Most battery-powered electric shavers started to pop up in the 1950s. But it wasn’t until the 1960s that these devices went mainstream. Though the electric shaver was still a significant invention, portability was still an issue. Later, corporations like Remington led the way to design battery-powered shaving machines with rechargeable shave batteries.
