Pure Soul has, is and shall always remain ‘Pure’ in all circumstances.The Soul is always pure, totally pure. Soul is the real Self of everyone. Whether it be a baby or an adult or a Senior Citizen, whether it be an animal or a tree or a human being, the Soul, which is the real Self of everyone, is the same. Always! These outer projections are all temporary and are mere transitory phases. But the Soul residing within each exterior is of a uniform quality.
Soul is nothing but light; the light of knowledge!
For example, let us consider you are driving your car in the middle of the night. It is utter darkness and in the light coming from the car’s headlight, you see mud, dirt, stones, etc. Now, does the light become dirty and impure in such a circumstance? No!
The car’s light does not even touch mud, dirt or stones. It always remains pure as it only provides you light so that you know. Just like the car’s headlight remains pure amidst the impurities around it, similarly our Pure Soul too remains always pure!
Thus, Pure Soul illuminates every object that exists in the world and remains pure and unaffected in all circumstances.
A question may arise then, that, what about the impurities of anger, pride, deceit, greed, etc.?
You and your clothes are different entities, isn’t it? Just like clothes sit over our body, these impurities too sit over our Soul; but remain totally separate from our Soul.
For instance, when walking towards the office, if some dirty material falls on your shoulder, what will you do? You will go back home and change your shirt. Similarly, if you (eg. Rahul, Your name) make mistakes such as anger, pride, deceit, greed, attachments and abhorrence, you just need to go back home (to your pure Soul) changing your wrong beliefs.
Why are we amidst impurities?
It is because we are not knowing that our Self is Pure Soul. That is our ignorance. And due to ignorance, we are believing that ‘I am Rahul (you may please insert your own name here)’ - that’s the subtlest level of impurity. When you realize, ‘The pure Soul is my Self and not the body’, the wrong belief of, ‘I am the body’ ends. But to realize this, you need a Gnani Purush, who can change your vision so that you can see the right!
How can we experience the pure Soul?
When you take a gold ornament with the best of the design to the goldsmith, what does he see? No design enchants him, he is only concerned with the pure gold present in the ornament, isn’t it? He is competent to separate the pure gold from the other metals in the alloy. This is mainly possible because of the gold’s inherent quality to retain its original intrinsic properties as is, even when in the alloy form.
Similarly, Gnani Purush, the Enlightened One, values the Soul within us. He knows that the Soul has never got tainted or impure. And therefore when he, with his spiritual powers, separates the Pure Soul from the non-Self matter of any person, within just 2 hours, the person is able to attain Self-Realization!!
Once we attain Self-realization with the grace of Gnani, we realize that “I am not this body or this name, I am Pure Soul.” Thereafter, the impurities start withering off and we slowly begin to experience the Soul with its qualities.
Remaining under the shelter of Gnani, this experience enhances with each passing day and becomes complete when all the obscuring impurities sitting over the Soul completely wither out. That is when we get to experience total Bliss, the Infinite Bliss of the Pure Soul!!.
Self-Realization is the key to permanent happiness and peace.
