Highlights of the rules
German language has several important rules which can be clearly translated to the fact of gaining a considerable importance over mastering the language.
In English we know the rules, that the application of capital fonts is on the beginning of a sentence. But in German the rule goes as the appearance of a capital letter as the prefix of a noun. So we will say the lion in English, but that we will say the Lion in German. Although names all begins with capital alphabets in German. If someone says that there is a book lying on the table, in German it will be das Buch liegt auf dem Tisch, which if arranged in English will be a Book lying on the Table. This may seem quite strange, but German has these sentence formation rules.
Order of the verbs
Now going about the other rules, verbs have an odd placements, exactly in the secondary position. The sentence The cat crossed the road fast will be Die Katze überquerte schnell die Straße. Here all the nouns whether it be singular or abstract are characterized by a capital letter in the beginning. Verbs occupy a secondary position, as that has the effect of a reversed sentence in English language. Thus if someone begins on to say, ` I am sick, that will be Ich bin Krank. Here the verb am or bin in German appears in the second position.
Few problems arise in case of neutral gender, but the verb form changes according to the gender type. The main focus is the different forms of nouns and the voices that alter the gender forms. There are these mainly various forms of articles which are widely used, apparently der, die and das. One may think that these verbs change interchangeably without a proper reason, but that the very reason of such changes are nothing but the application of the articles in light of the verbs used.
