How do you deal with the times where things feel hopeless? Have you experienced a period in life where it felt like you would never get out of it? Have you spent time in a space full of confusion and disorientation?
If you have answered yes, to any of these questions, then you have had a taste of living in the dark night of the soul. These periods in our lives can be quite disorienting, challenging, and bring up a whole range of emotions. It is in this period that we may question every part of our life and even ourselves and abilities.
One of the key things that is behind the Dark Night of the Soul lessons is about responsibility. It is a call for us to wake up even among what feels like a very dark period in our lives. For it is in this period that many of our triggers and areas of improvement are show to us.
Many have experienced a sense of feeling abandoned. Having prayers that seem to go unanswered. There can be a big inner struggle that makes us question and wonder about anything and everything.
This is a time that can call us to get deep within our very core. The time where we are called to become like a deep sea diver. A time where we must learn to truly know our real essence.
Often times people will have every doubt that they have or fear that they have brought before them. I feel however, that this is about giving us an opportunity to overcome them; and to work through them. It is not a time that is truly designed to destroy or break us. However, it is in the process of our breakdown that we may just crack open and find the light, the true light within us, and not just an illusion.
