Changing the World… 30 Seconds at a Time.
Can thirty seconds change the world? Earth-List.com think’s it very well could. Starting September 15th and ending on November 15th, Earth-List.com is launching a “National Online Eco-Awareness Video Contest.” The challenge is to submit a thirty second video addressing the following question: “What do you do on a daily basis to help make the Earth a better place?”
The initiative encourages anyone with access to any form of video recording device (mobile phone, web-cam, hand held devices, professional video cameras, etc.), to contribute their special way of giving back and reducing theirs as well as others carbon footprint. As simple as it may sound, the philosophy behind this contest is to allow anyone and everyone an opportunity to show the world how they are making an effort towards a more sustainable future. In addition, Earth-List.com believes that viewers may incorporate those positive behaviors into their lifestyle. Therefore, the greater the participation, the greater the impact we can make as a whole towards creating a more environmentally conscience society.
Earth-List.com’s platform partner, Skillcount.com, will be hosting the contest on their proprietary video rating and viewing web interface. Skillcount.com enables registered users to submit their content onto their site while also allowing viewers to rate the videos on a scale from 1-5. The winner will be given an iPad, but more importantly, their contribution may be just enough to help change the world!
