Other than living for seven-year period in Montana in the 1990s, Thomas H. Schear has also been a lifelong resident of Iowa. His work in the human service field began in 1977 with most of that time in the substance abuse field working as a front line counselor, clinical supervisor and program manager as well as teaching college courses in psychology, counseling, sociology and ethics. In the State of Iowa he is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor (LMFT) and Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC). I am also a Master Life Coach, Master Business Coach and Certified NLP Practitioner. He has earn a BA, MA and Ph.D. in social work, an MA in counseling, has attended dozens of workshops, seminars and other training including being a graduate of Coach University. Currently he works with clients online, via the phone and face-to-face as a private practice counselor and life and business coach. Finally, he offers distance learning continuing education courses to counselors and therapists across the country and around the world.
Tom has two grown sons and currently lives in a small town about 160 people in north central Iowa with his artist wife, Kate, and his office mascot a dog named Solo.
I offer 132 home-study, self-paced NAADAC, NBCC, OASAS & CAADAC courses for counselors/therapist to help them obtain and/or maintain their professional credentials.
