Dr. Susanne Dillmann obtained her doctorate from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado and is a licensed psychologist in the state of California (PSY21969). She is an active member of the American Psychological Association as well as of the San Diego Psychological Association. She works with individual adults to improve their emotional lives, find peace from painful memories/experiences and develop skills for healthy living. Dr. Dillmann has focused much of her work on helping adults come to terms with and heal from traumatic events, both past and recently experienced events. Two foundational themes in Dr. Dillmann’s work are that of a collaborative partnership and the de-pathologizing of therapy. Dr. Dillmann creates a collaborative partnership with her clients. Together she and her clients clarify issues, gain insights and develop a method for sustainable change. Dr. Dillmann also emphasizes that therapy is a valuable tool in developing wellness and in learning how to live a satisfied life. In other words, therapy is a vital part of one's human education. Participating in therapy is an investment in oneself. For more information on Dr. Dillmann, please visit her website at www.drdillmann.com.
