Shayne Chance is a native Utahan born and raised in the Sugarhouse area.  The only daughter of 4 siblings, she became quickly skilled in the art of how to negotiate, delegate and communicate.  As a child her first loves were reading and writing and she has some published material with more in the works.  This has also benefited companies as she has assisted in the writing of sales literature and reports. 

          Even as a teenager the jobs Shayne worked in involved personal self motivation as they were more autonomous in nature.

          At 26 she was the co-founder of Proactive Properties, a real estate company.  Moving into management and administrative positions, organizational skills had already been established.  Constant interaction with everyone from maintenance providers, to renters and property owners such skills as interpersonal relationships, coordination of transition and activities as well as conflict resolution were added to her repertoire. 

          Spending a lot of time with diverse individuals, Shayne was able to identify that she had a way with people.  Fate moved her into an environment that dealt with a multitude of clients from laymen to corporate executives as she represented a product line for Cultured Stone out of Napa, California.  It was a natural fit.  She began building an extensive clientèle boasting a 200+ customer account base and creating interactive relationships with clients such as Okland Construction, Layton Construction, R & O, Beecher-Walker and Dal Tile to name a few.

          Moving into Corporate positions allowed Shayne to continue to hone and refine her skills as well as add several more.  New positions encouraged positive growth within herself and also among her peers as she began managing teams within corporations and building and maintaining Corporate Accounts in the process.  These accounts included one on one interaction with clients such as REAL Salt Lake, Sandals/Beaches Resorts, Top Stop Stations, Energy Solutions and several international relationships.  She was also invited to participate in assisting with other accounts like Guthie Renker, Aramark, Larry H. Miller, and Flying J, just to mention a few.  A recent venture into custom publications brought to a magazine which launched for a brief sojourn the end of 2008 where she was the Editorial and Advertising Director.  Verbal communication skills, an eye for detail and attention to subtle nuances within her team and the corporation, combined with her other skills, has earned Shelly a reputation that one employer described as “tough, tenacious, and charming”, a heady combination.

          One of Shayne's greatest personal accomplishments involves the creation and implementation of a 3 hour training seminar surrounding women’s self defense called 'Victim or Victor?'  Her compassion mingled with personal experience allows her to relate to people and has led to a successful company wherein 1000's of women ages 8-82 have benefited from her humorous yet informative instruction for over 18 years, defining her as a powerful professional, personal and stage presence, a plus for several companies as she has been both face and spokesperson for presentations and infomercials.  

Asked to describe herself and what her greatest asset is, she will tell you she has a gift of “creating, building, and maintaining relationships”.  Time is one of her most valued treasures.  Giving of hers, or enjoying some of yours, is one of her most cherished gifts.
