I have 25 years’ experience of criminality, prisons and offender management with a strong focus on youth offending. With extensive additional experience of offender resettlement support, gang work, coaching, mentoring and network development. My unwavering motivation and clear focus ensures I achieve my targets & goals.
In June of 2010 I took The Real Employment Project at St Giles Trust online, raising its public profile, gaining new clients and providing them with a way of keeping informed of our activity while at the same time making us more accessible to them.
In January 2011 I accepted the role of group manager for the 'Young Offenders' sub group, which is part of the 'Reducing Re-offending' discussion group on Linkedin. In this role I manage and contribute, build and develop the group - this role has now expanded to include the management of the Young Offenders group on 'No-Offence'.
In March 2011 I conceived the idea for the Reasons Why workshop series to use as a model for a Social Leadership Program which I hope to be selected for this Summer. It will address a gap in the market for ex-offenders working directly with 'at risk' youths. These workshops identify the issues that young people face in relation to youth violence and youth crime. We deliver reformed offender led presentations and workshops that empower young people through information & personal experience sharing. More information can be found at www.ReasonsWhyUk.org
In May, Inside Time (The National Prison Newspaper) featured the first edition of the Resettlement page which I brokered and managed for St Giles Trust, this took almost 7 months to get to print.
What I am looking for is a role that will make best use of my existing skill set and ability to see ahead while developing ideas.
I deliver a powerful inspirational message to young people that cannot see the positive potential within themselves. I help people to do that.
