Roberta Shepherd has been interested in health and wellness since she can remember.
Roberta bases her practice primarily on the concept that as she becomes a more whole person, she is better equipped to facilitate experiences of self-discovery and healing for others. Furthermore, Roberta strongly believes that all physical ailment is rooted in deeper mental, emotional and spiritual imbalance. Therefore, all aspects of the Self must be in harmony in order that a person thrive as an individual.
Roberta's passion lies in hearing others' stories. She prides herself on the ability to create a space of acceptance in which clients can comfortably explore their emotions, where they are coming from and where they would like to be regarding their most ideal expression of themselves and their well-being.
Roberta first began studying holistic health in the year 2000 with a start in herbology under renowned Edmonton herbalist Robert Rogers. Since then, she has done an apprenticeship in colon hydrotherapy, graduated with distinction from the Holistic Health Practitioner Program at Grant MacEwan college in Edmonton, achieved reiki level 3 status and established herself as a practitioner at Prana Holistic in Edmonton. Roberta has appeared on Breakfast television twice speaking on topics related to nutrition and has facilitated countless seminars on topics such as: culinary herbs, colour therapy, chakras and meditation, healthy fats and oils, fibre, nutrition for parents, affordable organics, etc.
Roberta currently writes a weekly column on holistic health for See Magazine in Edmonton and aspires to continue expanding her writing career. Roberta's specialty areas include digestive health and holistic nutrition, herbology, flower essences, reiki and numerology.
