Robert and Judith have been recognized for leading edge work in the field of human consciousness for over 30 years. Judith holds an MSW from Boston University; Robert a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Harvard. They synthesize an unusually diverse background in humanistic psychology, organizational change, social change, the arts, and spiritual studies.
Co-creators of the Opening the Heart workshops, Judith and Robert have guided over 100,000 people in seminars on topics including relationships and intimacy, cultivating inner life, and leadership, at universities, businesses, educational centers, and conferences around the world. As organizational consultants, they have worked at the most senior levels in corporations such as Chase Bank and General Motors, as well as non-profits such as Greenpeace and MoveOn.org. Both have serve as personal coaches to business, political and spiritual leaders.
Judith is also a gifted movement artist and ceremonialist/minister, with a current focus on feminine leadership. Robert, a highly-regarded musician, has produced 20 albums of transformational music with his vocal ensemble On Wings of Song, including the best-selling Om Namaha Shivaya, and is co-author of the book Chanting: Discovering Spirit in Sound, published by Broadway Books.
Their work is founded in love, compassion, respect, joy, and a sacred connection to life. Their retreats for couples have been forged in the living laboratory of their 38-year marriage and raising three children.
Robert and his wife, Judith Ansara, offer retreats for couples at Omega, Esalen, Hollyhock and a yearly retreat/vacation in Mexico.
