Australian native, Robert Geneid is the current managing director of a large property development agency that owns and controls the Royal Mulu Resort. The resort is in the region of Sarawak in Malaysia. Robert has committed himself to elevating Malaysia’s image as a major tourist destination. He has also devoted a great deal of time and effort into preservation as well as sustainable development in the Sarawak region most of all.
Robert Geneid is an extremely efficacious property developer, responsible for developing the Mulu Park, a large National Park located in the Sarawak area, and the Miri Marriot Resort and Spa. As well as development projects, he is a consultant and trustee for the Mulu National park. In 2000 Gunung Mulu, or Mulu Park, was officially named as a world heritage site. To this day, Robert has been working fervently to make sure the park is run to the highest of international standards, ensuring that the incredibly diverse heritage the park offers is preserved for countless future generations.
At the moment the Royal Mulu Resort is going through upgrades and is being changed into a Marriott Resort. As a result the Mulu Resort will be the first resort in the Marriott chain which is in a wilderness area. Though his field of experience seems divergent and varied, Robert Geneid has degrees in both Law and Civil Engineering from the University of New South Wales in his home country.
