I was born with cerebral palsy and understand how challenging life can be. In addition to all of the daily worries and concerns in life, managing basic routines can be a struggle. Coupled with self doubt and self esteem issues, achieving goals may seem even more out of reach. Knowing first hand how difficult life can be, I was inspired to become a support system for others and help people improve the quality of their lives. I decided to pursue a career in Social Work. I obtained my BSW(Bachelors in Social Work) from Kean University. I've worked with the elderly, homeless adolescents, developmentally disabled, autistic adults, and physical rehabilitation patients. I knew I was helping people as a social worker, but as time went on, it felt like something was missing. I felt there was more that I could offer, believing that true change can only come from within. From the moment I discovered life coaching, I knew that this was it! Coaching would enable me to empower and support others to create positive changes in their lives, changes that could last a lifetime.
I enrolled in a life coach training program at IPEC(Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching), accredited by the ICF(International Coach Federation). While receiving my training, I worked as a preschool teacher. I graduated in April 2008 from IPEC as a Life Empowerment Coach and received my CEC(Certified Empowerment Coach) certification shortly after. I am an active member of the NASW(National Association of Social Workers) and the ICF. I am also a member of Cambridge Who's Who among Executives, Professionals, and Entrepreneurs.
I've been a caregiver for years as a social worker, preschool teacher, and single mom. I know what it is like to put yourself last on your list. I've learned how important it is to take care of yourself in order to be PRESENT for others. I also know how important it is to accept and love yourself. To succeed in life, you must hold the power within. I am uniquely qualified to help you embrace who you are and utilize your strengths to your advantage. I started my own coaching practice called Live 4 You Coaching. I offer individual and group coaching services, specializing in Personal Development and Self-Care Coaching. I work with women nurses and caregivers, helping them prevent burnout, decrease stress, and make time for self-care. My goal is to help you realize that you have everything you need to live your best life and create everlasting changes.
