I trained with Barbara McCrady, Ph.D., Frederick Rotgers, Psy.D. Elizabeth Epstein, Ph.D. and Dr. John Slade, M.D. at Rutgers University Center for Alcohol Studies Women's Treatment Project and serve on their Faculty Practice. My participation as a Study Clinician will be published by 2011. I was trained in the cognitive behavioral and REBT (Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy) modalities in the following publications : “Overcoming Alcohol Use Problems: A Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment Program Workbook – Treatment That Works” and “Overcoming Alcohol Use Problems: A Couple Focused Program Workbook”. I was a clinician at UMDNJ-UBHC for 8 years and have done clinical supervision for students, LCSW’s and Licensed Professional Counselor's since 1997.
I have served on the Board of The Chai Project in New Brunswick, NJ and Screening for Mental Health in Massachusetts. I am a member of NASW-NJ. I have done presentations in the community on topics such as safe sex education, suicide prevention and teen depression, harm reduction, youth voice and mental wellness.
I appeared on the John Walsh Show (television) in 2003 as an expert presenter on the SOS “Signs of Suicide” School Based Prevention Program.
I have just opened my own small American business providing therapy to consumers in central New Jersey. I participate in Aetna and CIGNA insurance panels and am pending approval from Magellan.
