Neil is an independent Coach and Mentor; bringing special knowledge from beinga senior executive in both an insurance underwriting company and a regionalschemes broker, and the fact that now he needs to sell his own specialistskills in the SME market.
Neil has had in excess of 30 years’ (35 seems too many!)gained in the Financial Services sector. He has spent the last 4 years of hiscorporate career building and implementing the strategy of Deacon focussing onthe development of schemes in relation to property insurance. At the time ofappointment (2001) this business was distressed and hence there was muchexperienced gained in making the whole strategy work by driving operational andsales change as well as rebuilding the reputation of Deacon with underwriters.Two mergers with sister companies took place during this time as well as FSAcompliance so plenty has been learnt.
Before this Neil has gained experience with a number ofsmaller insurance companies and Royal Insurance (UK) in sales, businessdevelopment, mentoring future stars, building development offices from scratch,being responsible for UK development and then operational change to ensureservice delivery was in the upper quartile of the insurance industry.
Neil is always looking to develop his skills and was FCII(Fellow of Chartered Insurance Institute - 1977), MCIM (Diploma in Marketing -1989 now FCIM), practitioner and master practitioner in NLP in 1997 and2005(Neuro-Linguistic Programming i.e. communications) a member of ICF (InternationalCoaching Federation) after studying with Ian McDermott at ITS(2005) and finallyaccredited Supervisor of Coaches (CSA – 2008)
Neil comes from a practical perspective, has always beenresults orientated and is very keen to develop people who want to be developed inwhat ever way is going to work.
