I am a California state-licensed psychotherapist, and have been in private practice for over ten years working with a wide range of pain management and emotional issues. In the past year, EFT has become a focus of my practice.
"People go 'crazy' in congregation, WE ONLY GET BETTER ONE BY ONE."
This lyric from one of my favorite songs expresses very simply and profoundly my calling to be involved in the healing community, to do my part in helping us all to understand that our health and happiness has to start with each of us as individuals "from the inside out" and NOT the other way around.
Other quotes that I view as guiding lights:
"Forgiveness is the fragrance shed by the violet under the heel that has crushed it."
"There is no such thing as a single ray of sun."
"Obstacles are the things you see when you take your eyes off the goal."
"It's not the mountain that scares you, but the pebble in your shoe."
"All true things must change, and only that which changes remains true." (Carl Jung)
From A COURSE IN MIRACLES:
"Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God."
I would also like to share the following poem:
QUICKENING
To wear our hearts all through the night
So strong the beating wakes us off and on
And in the morning richly brew
And offer up a steaming cup
With fresh simplicity.
To wear our hearts here by the fire
So warm we scarcely fear the flames
Besides, the music draws them in
To mingle with the flooding strains.
Neither vain nor shamed
Nor sheltering from redemptive rain
But welling forth like minerals mined
To talk as if we feel for the first time
Something that's true:
To feel our soul stir through our hands
Acquainting us through our own touch
The touch reflecting self-discovery
First chemistry.
And peace resounding settles where
We bring our willing hearts to bear
Throughout the night or by the fire
Healing each of whom we thought we knew
Through our return to something true.
