Murray Gordon, President of MAGA, Ltd., is a nationally-recognized Long Term Care Insurance (LTCI) expert. An industry visionary, he was one of the first to realize that LTCI is the solution to increasingly expensive long term care costs. As a result, he founded MAGA—an independent LTCI agency—in 1975. MAGA works with a number of leading insurers.
Over the years, Murray has played a vital role in the evolution of LTCI, working closely with insurers to develop innovative features and benefits that have become part of standard LTCI policies. Committed to educating the public on long term care issues, he has been quoted in many publications, including the Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun Times, Crain’s Chicago Business, Los Angeles Times, as well as Morningstar, Kiplinger, and National Underwriter. He has also appeared on radio and television. Murray has participated in the Governor’s Conference on Aging since 1988. In addition, he has presented to the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois CPA Society, the International Foundation of Employee Benefits, NAPFA (National Association of Personal Financial Advisors), NLTCN (National Long Term Care Network) and FPA (Financial Planning Association). He was also a delegate to the 2005 White House Conference on Aging. Nationally known financial expert Terry Savage calls MAGA “my advisor on long term care policies.”
