Michaela Monika moved from Austria to South Africa, where she ended up flying around the world for an Airline as a Flight Attendant. What fascinated her about becoming a flight attendant? Was it the lifestyle and freedom to jet away to faraway places? The uniform? The star quality of these chosen few? Her story of a flight attendant job started at age 15. She was at the marketplace in her hometown, and suddenly, there appeared the most beautiful woman she had ever seen wearing an elegant navy blue uniform with golden wings on her chest. That was enough for her! She knew what she wanted to be when she grew older, and had never deviated from that dream!
When she graduated from high school, she went on to college in Salzburg, but all she could think about was flying.
After she left for South Africa, where she applied to Airlines, hoping that one day she would be successful in her diligent pursuit. Finally her chance came and she took it. She has found that working for a major airline nearly 20 years has been one of the hardest jobs she has ever had, and yet one of the most enjoyable. It was difficult to find the glamour in her job when she was preparing for an emergency landing, or even working a 17-hour day due to mechanical delays around the world, or even dealing with a planeload of airsick passengers during heavy turbulences. But these things were all part and parcel of her job. And the fun and excitement far outweighed these things.
After moving back to Germany, she got herself trained in Business Administration, International Marketing and Psychology, helping people getting rid of their fear of flying.
