Do you feel the world is changing so fast that you just can't keep up sometimes? Do you worry about what lies ahead for yourself and our world? do you feel like the direction our culture is taking lacks real purpose and meaning? You re not alone. Many of us are deeply troubled by the rapid pace of modern life and the complex demands placed on us just to keep up. but there are people questioning the direction of their lives, our culture, and are seeking real solutions that bring peace, joy, purpose, and meaning. My name is M. Joy Young, social worker and life coach. At Portland Lifestyle Counseling I offer counseling that focuses on self acceptance, personal direction, social accountability, and real life purpose and meaning. I call this type of counseling work Inner Knowing. If you would like to explore a life with deeper meaning contact me at 503-309-1163 or email at branchingover@iinet.com. Other specialties include grief, bereavement, depression, anxiety, stress, and support for caring for an aging or elderly parent.
It's easy to get started. Just call 503-309-1163 or email at branchingover@iinet.com. I offer a free 30 minute consultation that can be over the phone or face to face. There are many counselors out there to choose from. What makes me different is that I welcome emotional issues that arise from issues of social and economic injustice, racisim, and discrimination due to race, gender, or sexual orientation. I believe that how we feel inside is connected to a larger social experience not just brain and body chemistry.
I am accepting new referrals and would love to hear from you. You can reach Joy at 503-309-1163 or email at branchingover@iinet.com or at www.mjoyyoung.com,
