I suppose you could say I began my career as a Life Coach way back in high school when my nickname was "Dear Abby". Even then people instinctively came to me with their problems knowing that I would lend a compassionate ear and would help them to sort out the issues involved.
My degree in Psychology allowed me to build upon this gift.
For the last 25 years I have presented workshops on communication, conflict resolution, creativity and spirituality. I am a Youth Advisor Trainer and have been developed programming for middle school and high school youth. I teach Community Building and have facilitated retreats for groups wishing to build or re-build bonds that will enable them to more fuller reach their potential. I have worked with business owners to write employee handbooks that clearly communicate expectations and to develop training practices that encourage creativity and authenticity.
I worked as a Quality Coach and Trainer at a company whose reputation for customer satisfaction has earned global respect. In this capacity I came to know the importance of bringing authenticity to the workplace. I am happy to say I was able to guide employees to growth that made both their work life and home life more satisfying. Your customers will benefit when your employees feel they are being valued for their gifts and are encouraged to bring them to the table.
I built the youth program for a large conference center in Maine where hundreds of teens come each year to learn and grow. In 2004 I started an annual week-long conference for women at that same center where women of all ages and backgrounds could come together to celebrate, learn and grow.
I have been working formally one-on-one with people striving to live the most authentic life possible for the past 3 years.
My goal is to help people find their way back onto the path they were born to walk.
My clients come to me because they feel they've lost their way and the life they're living doesn't feel comfortable or "right" anymore. They are unfulfilled and have lost track of what they really want. I help them to examine several aspects of their life so we can build a plan for returning to authentic living.
These aspects are: Social, Work/Career, Love Relationships, Family Relationships, Health/Food, Lifestyle, Spirituality and Learning.
By looking honestly at past & current habits and patterns, we find ways to improve life and get back on the path.
In addition to working with clients one-on-one in person or by phone or email, I am available to lead workshops and to facilitate group work around communication and community building.
My schedule fills quickly, usually 6 months to a year in advance.
Let's talk about how I can bring authentic living skills to your small group or conference.
I invite you to listen to my interview on "Living and Working on Purpose", an online show on the "Exceptional Wisdom Radio" site.
It will be aired on November 19th at 5 PM EST and then available for download/podcast.
