It seems I've been in the music business in one way or the other since my tween years. All my friends were multi-talented, singing, playing the piano, sax, drums or other instrument, dancing and writing, and I've always been there behind the scenes, directing, guiding, managing, coaching, everything except performing. I wanted to be a dancer and my mother said she would let me go to a dance school when I got to High School, but later decided I should go to a vocational school for business. Mother knows best! After entering the work world as a young adult, while attending college, I pursued a career in law as a legal secretary and paralegal with the hopes of attending law school and becoming the next Perry Mason. During that time my old friends and newly acquired friends along the way always seemed to be gifted with some great talent, and I as always, was behind the scenes managing, directing, guiding, coaching and consulting on contracts and agreements, and unknowingly, was setting the ground work for an ongoing career in music that I had not planned. Then, in 1990 myself and my partner, Robert Powell, a singer and performer, with whom I would make “woe” to about the state of the music business, decided to do something about it, and established Many Moods Productions. Our goal was two-fold, one was to bring more "Substance" to the then stagnated music business, and the other was to find "hot" acts to promote and shop while assisting with advancing their musical careers. I never imagined that 17 years later and hundreds of shows, artists, failures, successes, changes in the industries, and the un-expected real life experience as a recording artist, we would still be leveling the playing field for thousands of aspiring in the entertainment industries, and Loving it. I get to do what I’ve always done best. What an exhilarating business to be in. Moreover, I honestly don't know anyone who has gotten his or her feet wet and resisted wading in deeper waters of this exciting and ever-changing industry.
