Larnette began a full-time career as an author and writer in 1991 and began her career by selling her first short fiction to local NPR affiliates and writing nonfiction for magazines and newspapers. She has written and published several novels nationally in soft cover and audio.
In 2004, Larnette was seriously injured in an auto accident and six weeks later her home and most of her material possessions were completely destroyed by Hurricane Ivan. She returned home to her parents where her father, who had been a stroke victim since 1995, became terminally ill and she helped her mother take care of him for almost a year until he passed. Many blessings and miracles emerged from these life events and Larnette formed her own company. In 2007 she published the nonfiction women's book 'Women and Success' (a collection of women's true stories about overcoming adversity and hardship). She is the creator of the magazine 'Inspiration' and also works in entertainment and film. She is working on a book about the survivors of the Oklahoma City bombing and beginning work on a film about the homeless.
A WORD IN DUE SEASON book - turning adversity and hardship into a major comeback; turning ideas into businesses on a shoestring...bringing forth the positive out of the negative.
Who is the stranger that walks among us? Often the stranger who walks among us is someone whose need is right before our eyes--whose need is so much greater than our own. The stranger who walks among us is one of our own. And sometimes, the stranger who walks among us is an unseen angel, bearing no wings, sent to help us when we least expect it.
I believe that it is possible to turn setbacks into comebacks; I've not only seen it happen, I've done it. When your life is falling apart at the seams, sometimes that's when you really find it - and what matters most to you. We learn through adversity what truly defines us and we discover inner strengths we did not know we had.
