I have been a clinical psychologist committed to the practice of creative and compassionate psychotherapy for over 20 years. I am a Founding Fellow of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy and use a strong cognitive-behavioral base in my work, but also feel there is great value in incorporating imagery work, EMDR, mindfulness approaches and a solid understanding of personal and interpersonal dynamics to enrich the cognitive approach.
Because I realize that every client and situation is different, I try to tailor each therapy relationship to address the issues and style of the individual client, couple or family.
I am active and motivating, yet respectful of clients' needs to feel fully understood and not to receive a one-size-fits-all intervention. My goal is to create a compassionate and supportive relationship to facilitate the changes that you wish to make and to help you create the best life you can have.
I maintain a practice serving individuals, couples and families with offices in Ashburn and Sterling, Virginia.
