Gary has taught at the local Jung Society for nearly ten years and has
been teaching a variety of classes since 1989 in metro D.C. His courses
have included: kabbalah, the writings of Carlos Castaneda, the Grail
legends, the Collected Works of C.G. Jung, intro to gnosticism,
alchemy, and a three-year course on body, soul, and spirit awareness.
He has been a dream group leader or member for six years, on the board
of directors of the Washington Society for Jungian Psychology and was
on the Executive Board of the International Association for the Study
of Dreams. He has received dream work training from Jeremy Taylor,
Montague Ullman, and Gayle Delaney and earns continuing education
credit each year through conferences/coursework provided by the
International Association for the Study of Dreams.
He also is working
towards certification in Focusing after completing Levels 1 through 4
training, has completed Level 1 training in MARI (Mandala Assessment
and Research Instrument) and Level 1 training in the Helen Bonny Method
of Guided Imagery and Music. He is also a student at the Academy of
Guided Imagery where he is working towards certification in Interactive
Guided Imagery and is currently a Level 2 Interactive Imagery Guide.
Additionally, he is completing certification with the Creativity
Coaching Association and with MentorCoach to provide coaching services
to individuals and groups.
