Fiona Wallace is a certified lifestyle and nutrition counselor and genetic counselor. She is passionate about health and wellness and her goal is to help others achieve optimal health in all areas of life. Drawing from her 20 year experience as a genetic counselor and her lifelong personal interest in nontraditional therapies her specialties are: nutritional genomics (the science of how primary and secondary nutrition interacts with our genes to heal or hurt us); relaxation techniques; EFT (emotional freedom techniques) and Reiki. She works with clients who are experiencing chronic illness such as arthritis, diabetes, hypertension and heart disease, as well as those desiring weight loss and stress management. These conditions are the result of a combination of inherited tendencies and a lifetime accumulation of stressors (physical and emotional) that damage our DNA and our body’s normal responses. Providing the body with the remedial physical and non-physical nourishment allows it to heal.
Fiona received her certification as a holistic health counselor from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City and is certified by The American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). She is also a certified First Line Therapist with Metagenics and is a member of The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from McGill University and a Master of Science in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College. She is a member of The National Society of Genetic Counselors.
