As a speaker, the goal of deepening peoples understanding of Pilates is paramount. Debunking the hype and replacing it with sound anatomical principle is important because Pilates has a real contribution to make to Holistic Health. Individuals can obtain benefits at home by themselves only if they can relate the new information to thier own bodies. At its best, Pilates can be a tool kit to One's own physical alignment, allowing people to tune thier bodies in stillness or in motion, to decrease pain or enhance performance. Benefits like this aren't supposed to come easily. Pilates can give a framework but understanding still requires practice. It is for the people who don't feel an innate sense of "body awareness". It is a breakdown of different parts of the alignment puzzle, isolating those parts for easier study.
Pilatez Comix® was created not only to make large amounts of information fun but also to encourage and assist people in seeing and feeling what is happening right at the moment. At their best, people are getting feedback from thier own bodies at all times. Pilates can help us interpret and use that feedback.
Strength, Length, Health,and Breath.
