Clair Schwan is an expert in financial freedom and has achieved a debt-free life through frugal living, deliberate planning, hard work, and good decision-making. He is self-employed, self-retired at age 49, and lives debt-free on his 12 acre estate in Cheyenne, Wyoming. His focus in life is "more life, less work" and being ever more self-sufficient and financially secure.
His professional career included establishing a technical and management consulting firm in the electric utility industry that served client needs around the U.S. and in many locations around the world. Mr. Schwan is known in the industry as a speaker, training, consultant and technical analyst.
Today, he focuses on sharing with other the lessons he has learned in his business and personal life. The center of his activities is Best of Both Worlds, his homestead where he: grows and raises his own food; eliminates the need for traditional utilities; engages in construction, fabrication and repair on his own; and writes four websites dedicated to frugal living, small businesses, libertarian thought, and homemade greenhouses.
Clair Schwan is the founder of Americans for Liberty and Limited Government, and is a registered lobbyist in the State of Wyoming where he supports legislation that promotes and potects individual liberty, free enterprise, civil rights, limited government and justice.
He shares his home with his sweetheart Ellen and their cat and dog. His life is relaxed and comfortable. It's a peaceful life in the country where each day is dedicated to good living with friends, neighbors and associates.
