Dr. Bodnar was raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He was first introduced to chiropractic his junior year of high school, when during a basketball game he suffered an ankle injury and was forced to leave the game. A friend’s father, who was a chiropractor, assessed the ankle and performed several adjustments on the sidelines. The pain diminished almost instantly and Dr. Bodnar was able to return to the game. Following this incident, Dr. Bodnar decided he was going to be a chiropractor. He would later learn that the field of chiropractic is much more than providing relief from injuries and pain. A healthy spine and nervous system sets the foundation for total health, as the nervous system controls every function in the body.
Dr. Bodnar graduated from St. Vincent College, where he majored in Biology and Chemistry, in 1993. He received his doctorate from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, in 1997. Palmer College was the first Chiropractic College in the world, establishing the profession in 1895. It is considered to provide the utmost education in the chiropractic field. While at Palmer, Dr. Bodnar played Division 1 National Rugby and was President of the Pettibon Spinal Biomechanics Club.
Dr. Bodnar has been serving the Alexandria Community since 1997. Bodnar Chiropractic Center takes a holistic approach in treating each patient’s individual needs. The Center also offers acupuncture, massage therapy, and reflexology, provided by experienced professionals.
Dr. Bodnar lives in Alexandria with his wife, daughter, and 2 dogs. In his free time he enjoys golf, mountain biking, hiking, basketball, and photography.
The one truth in life is that you cannot lie to yourself.
My focus in life has been general health and wellbeing. I started out as a personal trainer in college and love to teach people how to maintain there health and live to their fullest potential. I have been a practicing chiropractor since 1997. Chiropractic care not only helps with pain and injuries, it is so much more. Chiropractic gets to the cause of the problems and aids in the prevention of problems down the road.
