It's said "... we teach best that which we know", and that, "...a correct relationship with one's self is primary, for from it flows all possible correct relationships with others and with the divine..” I have been female all my life.
Bernadette Charles (aka Kulanga) is a woman of many talents; a successful entrepreneur and business owner, who has been impacting the lives of many for almost three decades. As a beauty expert, and professional life coach she has dedicated her life to inspiring and motivating women in diverse way.
Bernadette is a published author and performance poet who offers in her writing, performances, and lectures, a unique and holistic perspective on what she referrers to as “the divine dichotomy of life”.
She believes that we are all creative creatures called to create in different ways, but that accepting the challenge to embrace creativity is risky; "...for, it's about standing at edge of the abyss -- facing the unknown, and risking success or failure...."
Bernadette was born on the beautiful Caribbean Island of Grenada in October 1955. She began her career as an elementary school teacher at the age of eighteen, before immigrating to Montreal Canada, 1980, to further her education.
In Montreal she attended Art's Institute of cosmetology (1980-1982), and Concordia University (1992-1994), to obtain a BA in Political Science; specializing in women's affairs.
During this time, as well as being a wife and the mother of three daughters, she was an avid political and culturally conscious community worker, who served as a board member in West Island Black Community Association, (coordinating its Youth group, 1994-1996), vice-President of Montreal Congress of Black women (1994-1995) and a member of Montreal Association of Black Business Professionals (1995-1996).
She is also an active organizer/performer of cultural and social events, with a spiritual mission to assist in the empowerment of men and women everywhere.
Although her accolades are notable, Bernadette is a humble and warm spirit who will help self-motivated writers, artists, small business owners and executives to define goals, and refine their lives by identifying and eliminating the obstacles blocking personal achievement and success.
