Alexis C. Bell is a professional woman with global responsibilities. She was able to overcome many obstacles during her professional career to achieve a level of success that was quite far away from her starting point. Those situations spilled over into her personal life and allowed her the opportunity to gain a measure of expertise in relationships. She was able to analyze the underlying reasons the relationship either failed or became successful. She wanted to use her experiences along with the stories of those close to her as the foundation to communicate the message. The resulting framework became the structure for this book where she is able to share the lessons which made a difference in her life and for those around her.
An accomplished academic, Ms. Bell has most recently become an ASCENT Fellow of the Mastering Management Program with Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth. She has degrees from Cornell University (Bachelor of Science ) and Southwestern Community College (two Associate of Applied Science degrees), but her work is notably different from that of most academics. Her research, analysis and solutions are based in her clients’ actual situations and hard evidence, not academic theory alone.
Ms. Bell lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA with her youngest daughter. Her eldest daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren live nearby.
