As I am thinking about the vision I have for my business, a thought came to me. Will all the people whose life I touched show up for my funeral when I die? This might be a scary thought for some of you, but stay with me and you’ll find out where I’m going with this. On a deep level, whether we know it or not, we all want to make a difference in someone’s life, make a difference in the world, and leave our mark on the world. I believe that the phrase “I want to change the world “ is overrated.

What does it really mean to change the world? Does it mean that you need to affect the lives of all 7 billion people on earth? What does it look like to you? In my case, my purpose is to heal the world from poverty, end the suffering that poverty creates in people’s mind, help people create financial wealth so they can be free to live their lives as they please without worrying about money. If money has ever kept you up at night, you know what I am talking about. Have you ever worried about where your next meal will come from, how you would feed your children, how you would get to work without gas money, how you would pay the mortgage or the rent, how you would pay your bills?

If you are struggling to feed yourself, you can’t pay your bills, you can’t take care of your own needs, and you’re not able to take care of the ones you love, can you really focus on doing what you love and make a difference? No! Mahatma Gandhi said "Be the change that you wish to see in the world"; this is one of the most powerful statement that has ever been made. Over the last decade, without realizing it on a conscious level, I have been changing, one shift in consciousness at a time, I have been growing into the best human being that I can be. Becoming a powerful creator versus being a victim of circumstance, being accountable and responsible for my choices and actions versus reacting to life. This is one of the longest journey’s you will ever take, because it never ends until you “die”, and even that is questionable, it’s like peeling the layers of an onion, the more layers you peel the more layers unfold until you find your “true self” who is absolutely gorgeous inside and out, perfect, loving, compassionate and filled with light and unconditional love.

Have you ever heard the saying “you must lose yourself before you can find yourself “? To me, this means that your “Old Self” must die so that you may discover the “True You” your “Divine Self” and “be the change” that you truly want to see in the world. If you want to live in a peaceful and loving world, you must be peaceful and loving in your thoughts, actions and deeds. If you want to find the love of your life, you must be the love of your life; if you want to be rich and prosperous, think and act like a rich and prosperous person; this doesn’t meant that you have to spend or waste all your money, but you can do things that make you feel rich and prosperous, like treating yourself to a massage once in a while, pamper and take care of yourself, take care of your emotional needs first, stop judging and condemning yourself, be kind and loving to yourself, read a book while relaxing in a hot tub, go hiking, drink a cup of chocolate by the fireplace with your sweetheart. When you take the time to take care of your own needs, fill your cup with self-love by doing the things you love to do, and by loving yourself unconditionally you create a “wealthy mindset” and you can easily help those around you with the overflow from your “ already filled cup”.

Being in business for yourself is one of the fastest ways to discover yourself because all your “crap” shows up and you will have to face your fears, deal with your past choices, pain and hurt, your addictions, your identity drugs, forgive yourself and others, release all the negative energy that you have been carrying for years, heal yourself, LOVE yourself and show compassion for others while allowing yourself to be vulnerable and give others the free will to “crucify you” or “love you”. Not everyone is going to like you. The truth is that when you allow yourself to be vulnerable, to be human, to be divine and to serve people from a place of love and gratitude you are making a difference in the world.

Every time that you heal something in you, learn something and grow from it, you are changing, and in the process of changing yourself, you are changing the world. Everything is energy, and you are currently broadcasting energy out to the universe and adding that energy to the collective consciousness of the planet, and as you change yourself for the better, when you love yourself; you are changing your personal contribution to the collective consciousness of the universe and the planet, thus having an impact on the planet and those around you.

The same principle applies when you are serving your clients, when you help them make a shift in their consciousness, become their best selves, shine their light, you are a changing the world. You change the world one person at a time, one smile at a time, one soul at a time. Don’t be too hard on yourself because when you change one person‘s life you change an entire generation because that person will affect his or her family, and pass it on from one generation to the next. That is called a ripple effect.

What does this have to do with your funeral? When you make a difference in someone‘s life, is that person going to show up to your funeral and express their gratitude for your life, for the way you lived, for touching heir hearts and helping them see what they couldn’t see if you didn’t show up? Maybe, but if you didn’t make a difference in their life, it’s guaranteed they won’t be there.

Visualize for a moment your funeral, how many people are there? Is the place full? Did all the people whose lives you have touched come? Are your kids and spouse there? Is your whole family there? What are they saying about you? What are the speakers saying about you? Are they crying? Do they miss you? Are they grateful for you? Think about what each speaker says about you. Internalize the words they say, feel their emotions, remember their faces ,remember how much they love you.

Now, I challenge you to go and live the life that they described for you. If you want more people to show up at your funeral, change more lives, put yourself out there more often, allow yourself to be vulnerable, offer your gifts and services to them, stand in your power as a creator to make things happen for yourself. Stop playing small and hiding because if you want “them” to show up at your funeral, you need to show up for them in their lives “NOW”. Will you be rejected by some people? Yes! And it’s ok, because you are not called to serve everyone, only those who follow you. There are people waiting for you to rise and up, to lead, and to help them change their lives, so what are you waiting for? Go ahead, live your best life now, and “Be the Change”

With love and gratitude
