Why does a Creator exist? - Before we dwell on this question, let us first analyse the meaning of the word ‘Creator’. ‘Creator’ has been borrowed in its derived form from Latin, wherein the ending "-tor" means ‘one who does it’, and the word ‘creare’ means ‘to make or bring forth’.

Numerous things that we come across in this world, we often wonder, “How did this come into being? Who must have first created this?” isn’t it?
And if we are adamant to know the real Creator, we persevere; we dig into the history, and somehow do manage to locate the Creator; for we know there is some name, some person behind the creation of every manmade thing.
But what about the natural things that exist in the world? Who created them? And who created the world in the first place? Have you ever thought on this? And did you find any answers?...

People say, “God made it.”
In common parlance, God or Lord or Brahma are often referred to as the Creator of the Earth, the World and the Universe. A child will say, "God made this"; even a renowned holy man will say, "God made it."
So, is God really the Creator?

In his 1988 book, ‘A Brief History of Time’, Stephen Hawking, Britain's famous scientist, seemed to accept the role of God in the creation of the universe. But later, in his new book, ‘The Grand Design’, co-written with American physicist Leonard Mlodinow, he said - a new series of theories makes a Creator of the universe redundant. There is a sound scientific explanation for the making of our world.

He says, “It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the universe going. Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist.”
Let’s see what Param Pujya Dadashri, a fully enlightened Being, has to say on this?

Param Pujya Dadashri explains that to see God as some kind of being who made the world, is a worldly viewpoint. It is not the Real viewpoint. By fact, God is not the creator of this world.
Just think about it - if God has made this world, why is the whole world so worried?

We say that God is perfect, isn’t it? Then how could he have made such an imperfect world - a complex and entangled world that is full of worries and miseries, pain and suffering? Furthermore, we say that God is impartial. Then why does one person sleep on the pavement from the day he is born and another in a palace?

People say, "We think that God made this world and he runs the world; it is difficult to accept otherwise."
Do you know by saying so, directly or indirectly we are holding God responsible for creating the miseries that exist in the world, we are holding God responsible for the natural disasters that happen in the world, and we are holding God responsible for all the crimes that exists in the world.
Can God ever be guilty?

No. We know for sure that God can never be guilty. So what is the reality, then?
In reality, God is not the creator of this world at all, it is all a natural creation.

If in reality, God is the creator, then the next logical question to ask would be, "Then who created God? And who created the one who created God? In which world did this Creator of God or the creator of the creator of God stay in, before God came into existence?” So many different questions arise. And there is no end to this. Therefore, such talk is really incorrect.

By fact God is not at all the creator of this world; he never was and never will be. The world has not been created by anyone.
How did it come into existence then? The answer is: The world has been formed by itself.
And how does everything work in this world?

This world is run solely by scientific circumstantial evidences. Scientific Circumstantial Evidence is the basis for all that we see happening. Without it, not even a single atom in this world can be altered. These scientific circumstantial evidences keep everything and everyone organized.

Who wakes you up in the morning? You feel “I wake up of course”...
No, it is the Nature’s force that wakes you up. This force keeps the sun, the moon, the stars and the entire universe in regulation. It is the same force that clears away the pollution caused by the industrial mills. Who goes up there to make water for the rain? It is all a natural adjustment! It is all very scientific and natural. When the scientific circumstantial evidences of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen, along with many other evidences like air, etc. water come together, water gets naturally formed and rain falls.

A scientist may claim that he can create water but if you ask him whether he can do so with only one atom of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen, he will tell you that it is not possible. It is necessary for all evidences to come together, only then can a task be done. In reality, the scientist himself too is just one of the many evidences in the process.

Neither you nor God is the doer. The doer is ‘scientific circumstantial evidences’. There is no maker in this world; everyone is simply an ‘instrument’ - a ‘means’ in the process, merely a scientific evidence. And the law of Nature governs it. The law of nature is exact and is very different. Things are not what they appear to be. This is a very subtle fact that we must know. The world has been running its natural course from time immemorial. You are not doing anything in it; it is just a natural progression that does everything. The world itself is a science!

Does this mean that God does not exist at all?
No, God does exist. But God does not exist in the skies. Do you want to know God's correct address? God is in every creature whether visible or invisible; not in creation. God is present in all living beings that are naturally created. God does not reside in any manmade things. Where there is God, there is an experience of pleasure or pain.
And what does God do all day?

God lives within this science and He constantly sees how this process of science is taking place. God does not meddle in its natural process. God resides in every ‘creature’, in the form of pure consciousness; as the Knower, the Seer and in eternal bliss. God is just the knower and perceiver of everything that is going on in the world, and is always in his own infinite bliss - the bliss of the Self.

And now who creates the miseries and sufferings that exist in the world?
This whole world is functioning on the foundation of karmic ‘effect’. God has no hand in this. People do not understand this and that is why they put it on God’s head. The troubles we face are the effects of karma, bound already. To stop any effect, one must simply stop the cause.

And what is the cause?
The doer is some other entity and yet one claims, 'I am doing it. I did it'. Karmas are bound because of this wrong belief. Karmas are also bound because of attribution of the false belief that 'I am John' (the reader may insert his own name here). Since you do not know who you really are, you believe yourself to be the name given to you when you were born; and with this wrong belief, you are constantly experiencing suffering on one hand and binding further and further new suffering on the other.
Believing myself to be the name given to me - is that a wrong belief?
Certainly yes.
Then, who am I?

It is the ignorance of reality that has resulted in all this obscurity and confusion. You have had to suffer such endless wanderings because you have not known your true identity; you have not known the answer to "Who Am I?"
You can realize your true Self with the loving grace of Gnani!! It’s very easy . When Gnani gives you the experience of the real knowledge, your confusion begins to leave as you can then see things as they are more clearly and surely.

However, you meeting Gnani too is based solely upon Scientific Circumstantial Evidences.
Is there nothing one can do then?
Physical actions are not in our hands, but harnessing an intent definitely is. Nature will then get together the evidences required at the suitable point of time and fulfil your intent, no matter what your intent is. This is science!

So, as you are reading this article, harness a pure and intense intent that you meet Gnani very soon, and with His loving grace you acquire Self Realization from him. Your intent is one of the strongest evidences, which will help bring all other subtle and incomprehensible causes behind this meeting. It is a real wonder!

But for now, to conclude...
World’s creation is based on scientific circumstantial evidence; there actually exists no Creator, and when there exists no Creator, the question of ‘Why does a creator exist’ does not exist. What do you say?

Author's Bio:

Ambalal M. Patel was a civil contractor by profession. In June 1958, spontaneous Self-Realization occurred within Ambalal M. Patel. From this point on, Ambalal became a Gnani Purush, and the Lord that manifest within him became known as Dada Bhagwan. A Gnani Purush is One who has realized the Self and is able help others do the same. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan used to go from town to town and country-to-country to give satsang (spiritual discourse) and impart the knowledge of the Self, as well as knowledge of harmonious worldly interactions to everyone who came to meet him. This spiritual science, known as Akram Vignan, is the step-less path to Self-realization
