KILT, aka Sports Radio 610, is a B-Class broadcasting network that delivers talk and sports format with live sports coverage. The offices and studios of the channel are in Houston City, Texas, that is also happened to be its broadcasting area. With a brand name Sports Radio 610, the station operates at 610 frequency and consumes 5000 watts power for the programming.

It is a flagship radio service of the MLS’ Houston Dynamo
and NFL’s Houston Texans, and it has been telecasting the Texans game since 2002 when the team was incepted into the league. Plus, except for telecasting its services over the transmitter, it also delivers them online at web portal.

Entercom License LLC currently owns this sports/talk formatted network. Its sister network also contains the same calls, i.e., KILT-FM 100.3 FM, although that airs only country music format; KIKK, KHMX, KKHH, KIT-FM, and KLOL are the sister stations of Sports Radio 610 AM. Houston Texans, CBS Sports Radio, and Houston Dynamo are its affiliate networks; meanwhile, its transmitter is installed at West Road.

610 AM hit the waves for the first time in March 1948 with call-letters KLEE and under the ownership of W. Albert Lee. In March 1957, KLEE was sold to Gordon McLendon, and thus, Top 40 legend emerged. It also changed the calls to KILT (which it is still using now) and remained the top 40 Station of the Houston for almost four decades.

The only competitor of 610 AM is the 790 M, which is also airing sports talk content since 2004; its call-signs are KBME. Live Streaming of SportsRadio 610 AM KILT Houston is available here.

Major Shows
One of its major programs is ‘Star 610 Sports Radio KILT’ hosted by Ed Fowler and Mike Edmond. Prime Sports Radio, The Bob Stevenson Outdoors Show, and Out of Dallas are also entertaining shows of the network.
