When booking your HOLIDAY VILLAS IN VALENCIA, do you really know anything about the area? Firstly the Valencian Community contains the provinces of Castellon, Alicante and Valencia which is situated south of Cataluna in the Mediterranean. This area is most famous for its orange groves and fantastic beaches. Additionally it is home to an intense Hispanic-Moorish heritage which has been blended over the centuries with Mediterranean traditions to become the important factor it is today.

The sights and sounds of the provinces are unique to themselves including Valencia the region’s capital. The one event that makes this town famous is the Saint Joseph Fiesta or Las Fallas. This event is celebrated with fire more especially the burning to the ground of giant papier mache sculptured figures. Valencia is also home to an invaluable amount of Gothic architectural heritage. Valencia is bordered by the coast where you will find two vast beaches and along the coastline are the resorts of Oliva, Cullera and Gandia. Within these boundaries is the Costa Azahar, the Orange Blossom Coast, which extends from the Castellon province to north of Valencia. If you need to know anything about the area check at one of the tourist information centres.

There are a number of towns and villages with something to offer such as Castellon with its impressive city hall built of Ashlar stone or its cathedral of Santa Maria. The next place on your list is Penniscola, a quaint little village situated on the highest point of the peninsula with a medieval castle at the top. Due to its irregularity in shape the village had to be laid out in a carefully planned way. This applied to both houses and streets which gave it a unique appearance. Next is the town of Oropesa home to a 16th century tower which is lovingly referred to as the Tower of the King.

The Costa Blanca is the tourist destination for millions of visitors each year which is due in part to the beautiful blue flagged sandy beaches including only the best facilities. Add to this Benidorm and its two well kept beaches and a nightlife to die for, you couldn’t ask for anything more. For sights the most impressive has to be the Rock of Ifach in Calpe. This rock which appears to shoot out into the Mediterranean Sea is one of the most impressive formations on this coastline.

When booking your HOLIDAY VILLAS IN VALENCIA finding you need yet more information, stop by one of the tourist information centres. You will find them well places along the Costa Blanca in places such as Calpe, Denia, Moraira, Campoamor, Santa Pola, Javea, Guardamar de Segura and Torrevieja, all of which are waiting to serve you.
