One happens to get murdered, for his circumstances had to be like that; it was destined to be so. It is not possible for a common man like us to know where a person has left for, after his death. But yes, our prayers certainly reach him, so we must pray for his peace. When we pray for him, we send out good vibrations, which make him feel happy wherever he is. Whenever you remember him, ask Lord to grant him peace, and pray that he progresses well on the path of spiritual development.
During death, it is not only the Soul that leaves our body.Be it a natural or an unnatural death, when the person breathes his last, at that very moment, the Soul, the causal body and the electrical body, together leave the physical body and take birth in new physical body.
On death, one takes along with him his charged karmas.
Whatever karmas the person has charged in this life will get discharged when they become due in the next life. Depending on the causes one has created, one has to suffer the effects during his entire next life.
One cannot change one’s current life span but we can change our next life form.
When we give people happiness by helping them or by donating food, medicine or knowledge to those in need, we bind good karma and we reap its fruits in the next life. But say, we hurt others and give them unhappiness, we bind bad karmas and get unhappiness and suffering in life. Depending on one’s karmas, good or bad, one has to move around in four different life forms: human, celestial, animal and hell.
Nature rewards good deeds and punishes bad deeds – such is the law of Nature! So whatever good one has done in life, the stock of such merit karmas travels along with him when one dies, and it will help him and bring happiness in his next life.
Be it early or late, be it in natural or unnatural circumstances, may it be ‘samadhi death’!! Samadhi death means at the time of death, the dying one has a constant awareness of, 'I am the pure Soul’. If one has attained Self-realization and has a Samadhi death, any problems created by external forces on his body, have no effect on him then; because his entire consciousness is focused on the Pure Soul, the property of which is eternal bliss.
What is death? - The real or the universal truth of death. The inherent nature of anything that begins is that it always comes to an end, no matter how. Anything that is born has to die. A body is born and the body dies. But the Soul never dies. Since Soul is an eternal element, it has no birth or death. The Soul is Absolute Knowledge. Our real Self is the Soul; the absolute knower and observer of everything in this world.
For the Soul, the birth and rebirth are only its phases.
The phases of the Soul keep changing; but the Soul remains constant, just like the phases of the Moon keep changing; although the Moon remains constant.
Say there is a gold bangle. After some time, when the bangle is destroyed and a ring is made out of it, the phase of gold is said to have changed from bangle to ring. But the element of gold inside the bangle or the ring is as it is; it remains constant. Based on this simile, we can understand that Soul is an eternal element that remains constant, and the different life forms are mere phases of the Soul.
If gold would be a living thing, it would say, “I am bangle. I am bangle. Oh! They killed me. Now they made me into a ring.” But what would goldsmith say, “No! You are not a bangle, nor a ring. You are pure gold! Gold remains as it is. Bangle changes to ring.”
Similarly, we too cry as we are ignorant of our real Self. But Gnani, the Enlightened One, comes and reveals the real truth before us that: “You are not a human being, nor any other being. You are a pure Soul! Soul remains as it is. Life form changes from one to another.”
We see people coming in and going out from the world. But in reality, there is no one coming or going. It is a deluded vision that makes one see the ‘coming and going’. When Gnani gives us the right vision of the Self, we’ll not have to experience birth and death for long.
The cycle of birth and death continues until one meets Gnani. The knowledge of the Self can only be acquired by meeting a Gnani!!! Gnani is one who remains separate from his body and every event related to the body, separate from birth and separate from death. He is constantly the ‘knower and observer’ of whatever happens in his body, remaining in the experience of the eternal Self, that is free from the bondage of birth and death.
Gnani, the Enlightened One, has the divine spiritual power to separate our Self from the non-Self (body, ego, wrong beliefs, etc.) too. When he gives us the Self-Realization that ‘I am Pure Soul’, our conviction gets set on the real Self. We no more remain one with the body then, and therefore we do not fear death as well, be it natural or unnatural.
Giving the right vision, Gnani puts a stop to the charging of new karmas, whereby only the old karmas remain to be discharged. And following the teachings of Gnani, one begins to experience freedom, while carrying out the worldly duties and obligations in daily life.

Ambalal M. Patel was a civil contractor by profession. In June 1958, spontaneous Self-Realization occurred within Ambalal M. Patel. From this point on, Ambalal became a Gnani Purush, and the Lord that manifest within him became known as Dada Bhagwan. A Gnani Purush is One who has realized the Self and is able help others do the same. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan used to go from town to town and country-to-country to give satsang (spiritual discourse) and impart the knowledge of the Self, as well as knowledge of harmonious worldly interactions to everyone who came to meet him. This spiritual science, known as Akram Vignan, is the step-less path to Self-realization.
